We’ve all had an experience like this. Say a user is trying to buy a drink at a boba shop. Typically, they either wait in-line, place orders, and pay with cash, credit cards or mobile payment. Or they either require to download an app or scan QR codes that direct them to a web browser, place orders by navigate through different interface ordering systems, and manually input their credit card information every time.
But with these fancy blue-circular App Clip Codes, it provides a generic interface for a quick and seamless transition to allow the user can quickly load a tiny part of the TPass app within seconds to pay for the drinks by even skipping the manual credit card entry. We in hopes that App Clips will drive people out of webpages and into the app.
We’re living in a world that requiring us to use apps to interact, and sometimes we have too many apps. App Clips is exactly trying to solve this. You scan and launch a small part of a full app that will be available instantly on-demand when you need it.
With App Clips, users are more likely to place order digitally with a seamless, in-app experience. This allows users to directly interact with the app’s functionality, and to discover the value of the app (like a movie trailer!!) and eventually download the full version.
On the other hand, the App Clips is so small (less than 10MB) and will be automatically removed after a period of inactivity. Users won’t be overhaul apps, and to make more storage space in more important things.
